
Pictish Symbols
These symbols were found engraved on a stone found on nearby Fiskavaig Beach in 1921 - the stone - click here for a picture - is now is now on display at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
A Crescent and V Rod symbol is shown in the bottom half of the engraving.

The upper half of the engraving depicts Discs and Z rod feature.


This is a sunpath diagram showing the positions of sunrise and setset on the horizon at Winter and Summer Solstice at the latitude of Croft Beag.
